West Coast Gold Parties Inc. used the electronic Gold Tester when we first started but it had several problems. It wasn't always accurate, the batteries would often run out of energy, and it would give false readings on some gold.

 We now test your gold with an acid kit. We rub a little of your gold onto an Arizona Stone and then drop some acid onto the gold on the stone. We have several different grades of acid to test 10K, 14K, 18K and 22K gold.

 If the acid eats through the gold on the stone then it is not real. If the acid illuminates the gold, makes it shine, then it is at least the karat of the acid that we used to test the gold. If we/you think it is a higher quality gold we will test it with a higher quality acid.
